John Denver, a singer-songwriter who hails from Colorado that specialized in folk pop music brought joy to millions. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born Henry John Germandorf of Roswell in New Mexico, was in love with Colorado. He settled in Aspen. Denver's popular songs about his home state brought many others to make the move to Colorado. G. Brown the curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame said that John Denver was the best performer in capturing Colorado. The year 2011 was the year that John Denver was named the Hall of Fame's very first inductee. He is now the symbol of Colorado for people worldwide. Certainly in my travels you meet someone from the opposite side of the world someone who is from New Zealand and you say "I'm from Colorado The first word to come they say is Oh John Denver! Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads was the top solo hit after appearing alongside small folk ensembles. The song was written and produced by Bill Danoff. Danoff wrote the tune in the spirit of Johnny Cash, but Denver had the opportunity to listen to the song's early versions and was aware that it would eventually become a Top 10 smash. The song was recorded by the singer just a few days later following a performance to an enthusiastic audience who were in Washington D.C.
